U.S. Army 1943–1946

 

Ken Barber was born and raised in Natick. He and his four brothers began working at an early age, with Ken selling flowers by the time he was 15 years old. During the war, he and his brothers served; Ken was in the Army, serving with the 692nd Amphibious Engineers out of New Guinea and the Philippines. After the war, Ken and his brother Henry began Barber Bros. Florists, which became a Natick institution for nearly 50 years.
