David L. Brandl

David Brandl began his Army career with the ROTC program at the University of North Carolina. After earning his commission in 2010, he underwent further training as an engineer before being deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. During his year “in country,” Brandl helped detect and remove IEDs from local roads. After Afghanistan, Brandl was sent to Alaska to teach cold-weather tactics to personnel.
