Jeff Alderson joined the U.S. Air Force in 1998, after graduating from Worcester Polytechnical Institute on an Air Force scholarship. Majoring in electrical and computer engineering, Alderson would be deployed to the Middle East twice to help build computer systems. He left the service in 2003 as a captain.
