Wendy Schoenbach Reasenberg speaks about her father, Dr. Emanuel B. Schoenbach. He served with the Army’s Epidemiological Board, first as a civilian, then as an officer with the Army Medical Corps, during World War II. His studies into the cause and treatment of diseases such as meningitis, diphtheria and typhoid helped prevent epidemics among military personnel.
Reasenberg also recalled growing up during and after World War II. While in high school, she won an AMVETS scholarship, and got to meet President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
