U.S. Army 1944–1946
Walter Kilroy was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1944, shortly before he was to graduate from Dorchester High School. He served in France, Belgium and Germany installing telephone lines with Unit 3189 of the U.S. Army Signal Corps.
